Neurogenetics Lab
RESEARCH
- [ RESEARCH INTERESTS]
- - The Neurogenetics Lab focuses on the pathological mechanisms of protein aggregates such as TDP-43, FUS, DPR, and alpha-synuclein, which are causative proteins in movement disorders caused by CNS neurodegeneration (ALS/FTD, PD, etc.)
- - Our lab aims to develop new diagnostics and treatments for these diseases. To achieve this goal, we are conducting close collaborative research with researchers who possess the latest AI analysis tools such as KnockG and GAN, as well as clinical neurologists.
- [RESEARCH TOPICS]
- - AI-driven discovery and high-throughput validation of therapeutic targets in neurodegenerative diseases using multi-omics data
- - Development of a non-invasive precision medicine platform utilizing body fluid biomarkers for early disease detection and prognosis prediction.
- - Identification of novel small-molecule agents to simultaneously address neuroinflammation and protein homeostasis dysregulation.
- - Investigation of neuronal-glial interactions underlying neurodegenerative processes
- - Investigation of altered TDP-43 or FUS interactomes and post-translational modification in disease states.
