- 시퀀싱을 위한 adaptor 및 bar-code가 결합된 특수 제작 beads와 oil이 세포와 함께 particle(GEM: gel bead in emulsion)을 형성함.
이로부터 RNA를 추출하고 cDNA를 합성한 후 전 유전체에 대한 시퀀싱을 통해 유전체의 변화를 비교할 수 있음
